They joined with other Primary and High Schools from across town to form a massed choir, accompanied by a live band made up of Music Service tutors.
The repertoire was varied and challenging, including pop songs old and new, lots of harmonies and a super ‘Beauty and the Beast’ medley with soloists from the high schools choir.
Well done everyone!

One Sun, One World

One Sun, One World
Children from Sutton Oak, along with others from St. Peter’s CE, Newton and Sherdley CP, took part in a super concert at St. Helens Town Hall. Accompanied by a full symphony orchestra made up of students and tutors from the Music Service, they told the story of our amazing world and challenged us to look after it better. Commissioned by the World Wildlife Fund, the concert brought together a celebration of all the wonderful animals, plants and places with the important message about the need for its conservation.
A very big, ‘Well done!’ to the children who worked so hard to learn all the songs and performed so brilliantly at such a big event. We are very proud of you all!

Classes One and Two went to the Town Hall this week to join children from other schools in St. Helens in celebrating the heroes who help us every day. From police officers to fire fighters, lollipop ladies and postmen, they sang a big ‘Thank you’ to them all. With the help of two superheroes, they played games, solved the clues to catch the ‘robber’ who stole the ‘magic singing crystals’ and had a lovely time singing with new friends.

Young Carers Awareness Day

Young Carers Awareness Day
On Thursday 26th January it was Young Carers Awareness Day. Here at Sutton Oak we held a non-uniform day to raise money for this worthwhile cause.
Ann-Marie came into assembly to give us an insight into what being a young carer is like. Both children and staff where amazed at what some of our young people have to do before they leave the house in a morning.
We raised a total of £153.80 and this was presented to Nichole during assembly last week.
Anyone wanting to donate please follow the link below;
