First Impressions
Some of our Year 5 pupils worked in small groups this afternoon to consider their first impressions of some children shown in photographs. They then discussed how the photographs we post online can lead people to form their first impressions of us. The children came up with some great tips to consider before sharing an image online and thought about how they could communicate these tips to others.

Some children from Year 5&6 completed a maths treasure hunt as part of Maths Week. They enjoyed working in teams and put their mathematical knowledge to the test to complete a range of challenges.

Maths Investigation

Maths Investigation
The children had a great time investigating the statement 'Three times round your wrist is the same as once round your neck'.
They collected measurements from children and adults across the school, recorded their results in tables and discussed their conclusions. What do you think? Is this statement always, sometimes or never true?

Getting Creative

Getting Creative
The children were challenged to respond to the question: 'Can you recreate the life cycle of a butterfly using music and dance?'
They did an excellent job and really thought creatively about how they could use their bodies to show different stages of the life cycle. The children then looked at how they could use a range of musical instruments to accompany these poses and movements. A great example of how we can link our work in Science, Dance and Music!
