No Pens Wednesday

Class 10 have really enjoyed our no pens Wednesday as part of Dyslexia awareness week. We have participated in Maths, SPAG and English lessons where we have cooperated and worked together in a team using our speaking and listening skills. Have a look at some of our role plays where we acted out a chapter from our class novel, 'How to cure a dragon's curse'.

The Vikings

The children have quickly settled into life in class 10 and they have all made a great start to year 5 or 6. This afternoon some of the children were busy preparing art work for the new displays while others were having a debate about whether the Vikings should have invaded Lindesfarne. The children all enjoyed the afternoon, some took the role of getting into character very seriously!

Games Day!

On Friday the children took part in Games day. In the morning years 5 and 6 could choose between playing football and netball lead by Mr Williams and Mrs Clarke. Then in the afternoon they could choose between rugby and rounders lead by Miss Powell, Mrs Deveoux and Mr Holland. Everyone took part and shows great sportsmanship skills.

Year Six Visit Liverpool Cathedral!

On the 16th June year six were invited to Liverpool Cathedral for a leavers service. They were able look around the cathedral and then took part in a beautiful service. There were many other schoosl from in and around Liverpool and it was a very special day to remember. They even got to sing their favourite song 'my lighthouse'.
