PE
At Sutton Oak, we encourage and engage every pupil with physical activities and sporting opportunities. The skills they learn allow them to choose to lead healthy, active lifestyles and prepare them physically to take part in physical activity throughout life.
We strive to provide children with a supportive and challenging PE curriculum that is age- and skill-level appropriate, allowing them to develop a range of values that link closely to our whole school mission statement. PE, School Sport, and Physical Activity help build character, confidence, self-belief, and determination. They support social interaction and the development of communication skills with teammates and opponents alike, both in our local and extended communities.
Our children are able to develop persistence, teamwork, and discipline through sporting experiences. The opportunities we provide for them to compete in local and regional competitions allow them to experience success, build resilience, and, most importantly, develop a sense of passion.
During all PE opportunities at Sutton Oak, we demonstrate our Christian values and vision by fostering teamwork, respect and perseverance, encouraging every pupil to support one another and strive for personal growth in a spirit of compassion and intergrity.
