Chinese New Year

We have started to learn all about Chinese New Year and how it is celebrated. We have made rabbit shaped biscuit as learned that it is the year of the rabbit in the Lunar calendar. the children have enjoyed making clay coins and learnt how to write numerals in Chinese. When air dried, we painted them and put them into our special red envelopes, ready to go under our chosen persons pillow on the eve of Chinese New Year. We also celebrated by making musical instruments and enjoyed some food tasting!
