Fly Me to the Moon

This afternoon Y6 have enjoyed a visit from The B Tales who brought us an amazing performance of Fly Me to the Moon. This tells the story of Katherine Johnson, a black mathematician who worked for NASA in the 1960s. She was instrumental in developing the calculations needed to land on the moon and combined her love of science with her strong faith whilst also facing injustice and struggles as a black woman in this period of history.

Following the interactive performance we enjoyed crafts linked to space and had the opportunity to ask our own BIG questions about God and science.
